
In a letter written by the Executive Director of the Uganda Wildlife Authority, on 17th January 2024, the UWA board of trustees has made changes to the conservation tariff structure and an increment in the prices of a number of activities in the gazetted conservation areas in the country has been noted. These changes in prices will take effect from 1st July 2024 to 30th June 2026, affecting a number of activities such as the Gorilla tracking experience in Bwindi and Mgahinga, Gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi and Mgahinga, Chimpanzee tracking experience in Kibale and Kyambura. The changes in the tariff plan have been noted as below.
