An End to the Negative PCR Tests within 72 hours for Incoming and Outgoing travellers in Uganda

Following a press briefing by the Minister of Health in Uganda earlier today, we are very pleased to inform you that the requirement for the negative PCR test done within 72 hours pre-boarding for all incoming travelers and outbound travelers is suspended with immediate effect for those who are fully vaccinated, except where it is a requirement of the destination country or the carrier airline. This however, means that all inbound and outbound travelers will only be required to show proof of full Covid-19 vaccination, except for travelers aged 5years and below. Only travelers with partial or no vaccination will be required to present a negative PCR test done within 72 hours of travel whereas travelers below the age of 5years are not required to present a negative PCR test upon arrival

Therefore this means great news to the tourism in Uganda and we encourage you to make and plan your bookings on time as this shows a positive sign in the bid to welcoming tourists back to the Pearl of Africa.
