Mandatory COVID-19 Testing For All Arriving Passengers (tourists)

According to the Ministry of Health in Uganda in a letter to the Civil Aviation Authority Uganda, by the Director General Health Services, we wish to  inform you that all arriving tourists at Entebbe International Airport will be subjected to a Covid-19 test regardless of the country of origin or vaccination status starting on the 23rd of October 2021.  Only children below 6 years and the airline crew with evidence of full Covid-19 vaccination will be exempted.

In the event that a traveler (tourist) tests positive or asymptomatic or with mild disease on arrival, they will be managed in the designated tourist hotels and those who progress to severe disease will be transferred to hospitals of their choice.

Please note that all Covid-19 PCR tests will be at a fee of USD 30 or equivalent in Uganda Shillings and payments may be done online or upon arrival through POS machines, mobile money or cash.
