Flying safaris:

For clients that are worried about the long driving hours between the various national parks, we do offer flying safaris with domestic airlines which offer both scheduled and charter flights in to Uganda’s national parks and at affordable rates.

Having a flying safari is one of the best and quickest way for business clients that have very limited time in the country and yet want to visit some of the country’s national parks.

The flying time in between each of these National parks is about one hour and 20 minutes on the direct charter flights though clients have to note that scheduled flights could take a bit longer because of the various stops enroute.

Aerolink uses Cessna Grand Caravans and offers daily flights in to Bwindi National parks with stops in Kisoro and Kihihi Airstrips, Queen Elizabeth National park (stopping at Kasese and Mweya air strips), Murchison falls National park (stopping at Bugungu, Pakuba & Chobe airstrips), Semliki National park and Kidepo National parks.

You can have the option of flying in between all the national parks or combine flying with driving to make sure that you don’t miss out on the natural diversity and overwhelming beauty of the Pearl of Africa.

Please note that we do all these local flight bookings for you and we can always send you a schedule of the flights should you require them.

You need to however note that the luggage allowance per person is 15kg.

We do all the bookings for you for can you can email us and we send you a schedule for the various destinations if needed.

Day 2Gorilla Trekking

Gorilla trekking
Time to trek the gorillas. Set off to the departure point for a full briefing and to meet your gorilla trek guide. The guides will have been identifying the position of each gorilla group and know which is the closest departure point to trek from. The hiking is through thick, verdant rainforest. With your guide and porter using a machete to clear a path and assist you up and down steep terrain, spend time with the gorillas in their natural habitat is an amazing and unforgettable experience. The final trek times can vary enormously according to where the gorillas have moved to but most guests spend an hour with these amazing wild animals. If time permits, there are additional activities, unique to Bwindi, which you can participate in during the afternoon.
