Gorilla tracking is dependent on the permits availability at the time of your booking. Gorilla permits in all parks are on a very high demand and we advise that you book them as early as possible.

3 Hours Before Flight Time
Arriving at the airport you will be warmly welcomed by a Churchill Tailored Safaris representative, and transferred to your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. An optional tour of Kampala and the surrounding areas can be arranged for interested parties. Accommodation: Papyrus guest house on BB
Drive to Mountain Elgon, stopping in Jinja for optional visit to the source of the Nile and Bujagali falls, arriving in Mbale in the afternoon. You can pay these on ground or organize with us in advance. Accommodation: Wash and wills hotel Mbale on FB
After Breakfast, drive to Budadiri park headquarters to begin the 4 hour hike walking through slopes of montane and bamboo vegetation, and arriving at the Sasa River Camp in time for lunch. Overnight at Sasa River Camp
After breakfast, continue to ascend through landscape of extraordinary moorland vegetation. The climate and vegetation often changes with altitude until you arrive at the Mudde Cave. Overnight at Mudde Cave
After breakfast, proceed to Wagagai, the highest peak. You will have spectacular views of rare high altitude vegetation and the Jackson summit. Many photo opportunities. Overnight at Mudde Camp Site.
Today you will trek from Mudde Cave to the Caldera and the hot springs, a journey of three hours. From the caldera, continue to Hunter’s Cave Camp, a three hour trek. Overnight at Hunter’s Cave Camp.
If you are keen about exploring more, you would proceed to the famous Tatum Cave with ancient cave paintings, a trek of two hours. Overnight at Tatum Cave Camp
Trek from Tatum Cave Camp to the Park headquarters about 4 hours and later transfer to Sipi Falls and take a walk to the caves on the opposite side of the falls. Sipi Falls is lovely to behold and is where the Sipi River gushes down a steep 50-metre (160 foot) cliff. You can even enjoy a swim at the base of the falls. Accommodation: Sipi river lodge on FB
Depart for Kampala/Entebbe, arriving in Jinja in time for lunch. Relax in the afternoon, and later transfer to Kampala/Entebbe for the night. Accommodation: Papyrus guest house or Cassia lodge on BB
You will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home depending on your flight time.
