“Sharing time with mountain gorillas in the wilds of Africa’s rainforests is utterly magical: nothing prepares you for their sheer beauty and brawn, those soulful brown eyes, their astonishingly human-like expressions or their extraordinarily gentle demeanour.”
— Lonely Planet
Join me on a journey of 12 minutes which in the literal, lasted more than 24 hours but got us rewarded with one precious hour in the presence of some of the world’s last few surviving mountain gorillas.
This was part of our #RediscoveringWakanda trip in which we sought to visit and also discover a few things that maintain the avowal “#UgandaIsLit”.
Many thanks to Crystal Lodges Uganda for hosting us at their peaceful Gorilla Safari Lodge. Please do check them out, if you’re looking for a comfortable place to stay just next to the gorilla kingdom – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. http://www.crystallodgesuganda.com/our-lodges/gorilla-safari-lodge/
