Client Testimonials

"I would like to say on behalf of Christian Relief Uganda that we have been on many Safaris with Churchill's and have had some wonderful times. Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls are 2 places I would thoroughly recommend. The experiences we had will last forever in our memories. The team at Churchill's do their best to tailor make the Safari for each group and are very helpful and experienced."

Peace, I just want to say what an excellent trip my wife and I had at the end of January to Queen Elizabeth National Park and the Mweya Lodge. It was all very well arranged and our guide was a real star! Thanks to yourselves and Ronnie for making it such a great time for us. We loved Uganda and the people we found to be so welcoming and gracious. My God bless you and your business".

"Dear Ether, I would have liked to meet you and put a name to a face, you sound like a very nice person. I guess we'll miss each other. Well thanks again for all your assistance in organising a Safari for me and my group"

"I really enjoyed the trip...Ronny is a very professional guide and a wonderful person. People in the parks and all over the country was very kind and the accomodations were good. The uniqueness of Uganda is the presence of 3 environments: savannah, rainforest (bwindi) and tropical forest or the gorge in Queen Elizabeth or Budongo forest in Murchison falls). The Chimp tracking in Kibale was magic, but very focused on chimps; another walk in tropical forest focused in other monkeys should be very beautiful. If necessary, a night could be spent in the park of kibale, even if the accommodation is not so comfortable as Ndali Lodge; in alternative, an excursion in the gorge of Queen Elizabeth or, during the transfer from Paraa Lodge to kampala, a morning walk in Budongo could reach the goal; if necessary, the time in Murchison Fall could be reduced: the boat trip, the walk on the falls and 2 game drives are enough for that park"

"Dear Ether and Churchill Staff, I just wanted to let everyone know at Churchill's what a wonderful photographic safari I had in January! I found Uganda to be a beautiful country with warm and friendly people. The game photography was great and the gorilla tracking was the high light of the safari. Churchill's Safaris saw to every detail of my safari, the accommodations were top of the line. James, who was my guide for fourteen days, was superb, from his friendly greeting at the airport to his vast knowledge of the game. I look forward to working with Churchill's Safaris in the future and bring my photographic clients to Uganda!”

“I have known Mrs Kyambadde (Ether) since 2000 and first met her in 2001 at the World Travel Market in London where we discussed my first safari to Uganda and Rwanda. Our meeting went very smoothly and the arrangements were easily and quickly made. This was not an off the shelf standard Safari but was to be tailored exactly to my personal requirements. This proved well within her abilities. Due to other commitments I was not able to undertake the Safari until February 2003 but it proved worth the wait. Money transactions went smoothly and I arrived by air and was met by a man I got to know well as Fred Bagonza and who subsequently drove for me on two of my later visits.

You never get a second chance to make a first impression and I came home very pleased with how the trip had worked out. There had been a vehicle problem but this was resolved to my entire satisfaction without any quibbling that sometime mars a relationship.

I so enjoyed my visit that I returned with my wife, Elizabeth, the following year and again Fred drove for us. Our itinerary was a repeat of 2003. Again some minor problems were resolved without fuss.
In 2005 I again returned with a friend. This time we had arranged a special itinerary to concentrate on Birds of which there are 1100 species in Uganda. This was very successful with good views of a lot of Uganda's special species. We returned in 2006 to cover the areas missed the previous year, due to lack of time, and again our special requests to visit places not normally on the Tourist routes were handled with efficiency. Tourism in Uganda is still developing and it would be untruthful to suggest that the visits went smoothly all the time but any problems encountered were promptly resolved in a friendly manner. You can encounter problems anywhere in the world and they are not always dealt with as pleasantly as they are by Churchill.

I am quite happy to recommend Churchill's team, Ether, Winnie, Peace and Pious to would be visitors to Uganda. They can arrange “standard Safaris” from a range of tours but are also more than willing to tailor make an itinerary to a clients personal requirements. Their pool of drivers are reliable and have a good all round knowledge of Uganda, its people and its animals and birds. We have had the pleasure of being driven by Johnnie Kamugisha and Emmy Gongo in addition to Fred and all three were some of the nicest people you will meet anywhere. Both Johnnie and Emmy are first class ornithologists with an uncanny ability to seek out the more elusive species. If you are interested in birds you will be impressed by what they and their country has to offer.

There are Accommodations in Uganda to suit every taste and requirement from camping, modest Community Bandas, rural hotels and upmarket Lodges. I have often devised a special itinerary to some lesser frequented areas such as Katonga Wildlife Reserve, Ruhija and Bundibugyo in the far west. CAAS have made the arrangements with reasonable efficiency. Churchill has a good knowledge of what is available in any particular area and will advise you accordingly. You just have to ask!”

Dear Churchill, my recent safari to Uganda and Rwanda was a trip of a lifetime. Churchill worked with me quite a while until I was able to get the "right" itinerary. The
guide/driver that Churchill provided for me was a real asset to their company. He went above and beyond the call, checking to make sure that my trip was enjoyable and special. All the accommodations, restaurants and places that I visited were well chosen. I would highly recommend (you) to use Churchill Safaris when planning your trip to Uganda or Rwanda. Many thanks for a memorable vacation.

"Can I ask you a thing…? I'm Italian... I was even thinking to offer myself as a promoter here for you…I could write to travel agencies offering your company, with my pictures of the gorillas. Do you think you could be interested? Contact me for sharing ideas and prospect if you think it could be valuable for your company…”
